October Lunch Club 2.0

Submitted on Tue 21 Nov 2017

This months lunch club (the first in our new look lunch club ‘experience’ format) saw the team cooking pasta at Cucina Italiana Cooking School, then singing their hearts out at Holey Moley in Newtown. For going above and beyond during the month, our very own Emer McNally was the VIP for the day.

Here’s what the team had to say:

JEN: 5 out of 5

Describe your experience at the cooking school:

We had a blast at the cooking school, it was very informative and gave me some great tips & ideas to take home, I actually made the homemade pesto on Sunday much to the delight of my husband! The food was delicious and it was a really nice, relaxed & homely environment.

Describe your experience at Holey Moley:

A slightly more crazy and hectic vibe that Cucina! However after filling our bellies with yummy food and wine, a bounce around the karaoke room blasting out songs was great fun!

What was your top highlight from the day:

The creepy picture of Kimberley making pasta that we can forever hold in our memories.

EMER: 5 out of 5

Describe your experience at the cooking school:

It was great from the beginning to the end! The house was fab with a lovely Italian feel to it. The woman was a little scary but the food was excellent and we laughed the whole way through!

Describe your experience at Holey Moley:

Karaoke was great fun! Luckily they let us stay a little longer than booked because apparently we had a lot to sing about!

What was your top highlight from the day:

My VIP package! I felt like I was on my Hens!

SARAH: 5 out of 5

Describe your experience at the cooking school:

Experience at the cooking school was fantastic. The space, the kitchen, the music, the class, the food, the company  were all exceptional. Loved learning how to make ravioli- the highlight for me. Especially whilst drinking champagne.

Describe your experience at Holey Moley:

Holey Moley was hectic! But fun. Drinking vodka out of plastic red cups and singing out hearts our to Bohemian Rhapsody all part of the fun!

What was your top highlight from the day:

Ravioli to Italian opera and bubbles, sitting in the sun on the rooftop bar in Newtown shooting the breeze with the team over an espresso martini! ☺

ADAM: 3.5 out of 5

Describe your experience at the cooking school:

Cooking class was better than i expected, highlight was making ravioli from scratch. And of course getting to eat it all.

Describe your experience at Holey Moley:

Holey Moley was really funny, we belted some tunes. Although think we must of annoyed everyone else there as we had the karaoke booths door open and all they could probably hear was our shouting!

What was your top highlight from the day:

Drinking amazing wine and having a good laugh with the team. What’s better than eating and drinking!!!

KIM: 5 out of 5

Describe your experience at the cooking school:

The Cooking school was a fantastic experience, the setting was a traditional Italian home and it was absolutely beautiful we were taught how to make 5 very simple dishes and enjoyed them all with matching Italian wines.

Describe your experience at Holey Moley:

We then moved on to Holey Moley karaoke were we all fought over the mic to murder some karaoke classics absolutely hilarious!

What was your top highlight from the day:

I thoroughly enjoyed the new style lunch club and the highlight for me has to be the karaoke we all got so into it, was hilarious!
