Head of Information Security – Financial Services – Start Up

For so many reasons this is an exciting opportunity for a passionate & motivated Head of Information Security who is not wanting to be restrained by your typical streamlined financial services methodologies.

You will work alongside the Chief Product and Technology Officer & enjoy a culture where you have an open door to the CEO right to the junior analyst across other entities of the group. The Role & Responsibilities:

As the Head of Information Security, you will be required to set out the Security strategy for the future and having the advantage within a start-up of leveraging off the other entities base and implementing it to your own standards along with risk and compliance policies to go along with such standards.

• You will be the Subject Matter Expert for all things relating to IT Security
• Review existing and Define new Security Policies for the company
• You will be responsible for external and internal IT vulnerability assessments.
• Direct supervision and monitoring of compliance with security standards and executing information security risk assessments.
• Report on emerging new threats and provide solutions and education accordingly.
• Incident Response and Threat Analysis will be a key component of your role.
• Build out your team as approved by exec level – Pen Test, Analysts, Threat Analysts Etc….

What you bring:

• Strong experience working in Financial Services i.e., Payments is essential
• Certified in one of the following CISSP, CISA, CISM or CRISC and have over 5 years within a Senior Management Position – (Understanding Start Ups is an Advantage)
• Strong Knowledge of GDPR
• Security Risk and Compliance Expert
• Roll up the sleeves attitude – willing to muck in and get your area where it needs to be in line with business requirements.
• Strong knowledge and experience with ISO-270041 & ISO-27002
• Vendor Management Skills
