Environmental Sustainability Analyst

  • Contract: 6 months
  • Location: Work from home or Parramatta
  • Rate: $72.63 P/H + Super to $80.04 P/H + Super (depending on experience). 
  • You must hold an Australian Permanent Residency or citizenship and reside in NSW.

 

About the role: 

The Environmental Sustainability Analyst role is responsible for delivering actions in the Homes NSW Environmental Sustainability Strategy 2024-2026. The role is important to progress NSW Government and Homes NSW priorities including delivering energy efficiency upgrades (solar, air conditioners, ceiling insulation, heat pump hot water systems), prepare a Net Zero Plan and Climate Change Adaptation Plan.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist, deliver, and implement actions outlined in the Homes NSW Environmental Sustainability Strategy 2024-2026.
  • Manage environmental sustainability projects from inception to completion, including developing project plans, business cases, and consultants' briefs, and overseeing external consultants.
  • Develop and refine environmental sustainability policies, processes, and procedures for our social housing portfolio.
  • Review and analyze energy and water usage reports, climate risk assessments, portfolio evaluations, maintenance data, and financial information.
  • Provide expert advice and support to various business units to enhance the energy and water efficiency and climate resilience of our social housing portfolio.

 

 

Required/Desired Skills:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in research, analytics, and project management is required for this position.
  • You must have Proven experience in developing environmental policies and executing environmental projects.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Solid understanding of environmental sustainability issues related to asset management and residential housing.

 

 

System Experience:

  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with document management systems, such as TRIM, is advantageous.
