Nice setting, good service, nice wine, though a limited menu for those not wanting to enjoy the banquet menu choices or those not wanting to share food. All the same I enjoyed the 800gm steak all to myself. Will definitely go back.
We cruised into the airy renovated garage on Riley Street to escape the Sydney heat for our first lunch club of 2017, and were steered towards a quiet space in the spacious warehouse diner, where we parked up for the afternoon. The attentive staff ensured we were topped up with fluids and we sampled the degustation menu – seven parts which functioned optimally together for a smooth and pleasant culinary journey. The waiters – or mechanics, as they like to be called – had expertise with all makes and models as they produced a special vegan menu which was tuned to perfection. Riley Street Garage provided premium fuel for hungry lunchclubbers and would get 5/5 from me if only the venue had a soft-top to enjoy the summer sunshine.
This is the third time that I have been to Riley Street Garage and each experience has been fantastic. A beautifully decorated listed building with a hipster look that feels cool without being pretentious. The service is excellent with knowledgeable staff who take the experience to the next level. Without a doubt though the shining star is the food. The banquet offered a number of fantastic dishes with my personal favourite being the oysters and rhubarb & apple crumble.
