Bennelong was delicious, a place I’ve been wanting to tick off the list for sometime and it really lived up to expectation!

I started with the Scallops which were deliciously cooked to perfection and had the lamb for main, one word AMAZING!!!

Finished off with a selection of deserts and I must say, the lamington was to die for (a great twist on the traditional lamington).

The dirty martinis were an amazing touch to end the day with a cool dry ice trick.

The only downside was the décor, which was a little bit dated.

Bennelong has overtaken Quay as my new favourite.

I went with all of the waiter’s recommendations – spanner crab, ‘the best lamb in Australia’ (no arguments here!) and the cherry lamington.

Everything was beautifully presented and tasted amazing and I couldn’t fault the food, drinks or service.

That along with the view and of course the company made for a perfect Friday afternoon.

Bennelong was excellent from start to finish.

Amazing views and service, cold champagne, beautiful Riesling to go with the scallops, which literally popped in your mouth.

The lamb was sold as the best lamb we could have in Australia, and it was lived up to expectation. It was sensational. Complimented nicely with a bottle of Pinot Noir.

We shared the chocolate cake from across the sea and the lamington for desert. You do need to be a chocolate fan, but the lamington was delicious.

All topped off with the best martini I’ve ever seen served. Think dry ice, smoke, chilled glass dirty martini!

Throw is some fantastic company and conditions were perfect.
