Relaxing with Sunshine and Waterslides!

Submitted on Wed 28 Feb 2018

We’ve had a fresh new theme this year, with a focus on fun in the sun. So we’ve mixed it up a lot, and for Feb’s experience day, the team were treated to an afternoon at Wet’n’wild.

We packed on the sun screen, bought our esky full of snacks and headed to our VIP cabana to enjoy a relaxing afternoon of water slides and adrenalin rushes!

Here’s what the team had to say:

Describe your experience at Wet’n’Wild:

Top day out at Wet’n’Wild, a place I wanted to go this summer but haven’t had a chance until now. Went on most of the rides that we could fit in the time. I’d say after a few hours we all felt like we had enough and was gagging for a drink! Highly recommend ‘The Cricketers Arms’ next door!

What was your top highlight from the day:

Hmmm, it’s a tough one between doing the 360 slide which the floor beneath you opens and you go flying down or doing the new Skycoaster they have built where they drop you 160ft down! Both were a great buzz!

Describe your experience at Wet’n’Wild:

Wet and Wild was well set out with lots of slides to choose from, a fantastic cabana and big wave pool. I went on a few slides but soon lost interest in queuing for a few seconds of enjoyment …I’m inpatient in case you didn’t already know he he!

What was your top highlight from the day:

My favorite part was going to the pub down the road afterwards .

Describe your experience at Wet’n’Wild:

Wet N Wild was fun! I did, however, realise quite early on in the day that the older I’ve got the more scared of water slides I’ve become. I am still happy I got to experience it, and now it’s one ticked of my Sydney to do list.

What was your top highlight from the day:

The company was my favourite part- always have a laugh with team contracts and of course Mamma Hols. 😊

Describe your experience at Wet’n’Wild:

We had a blast at Wet & Wild, luckily it wasn’t too busy and we didn’t have to que too long for the rides.

After a day of scaring ourselves on the rides, cooling down in the pool and chilling in our cabana we found a nice quaint little pub around there the corner where we carried on into the evening.

What was your top highlight from the day:

A very different lunch club but very enjoyable and a great day had by all. Plus Kim and I got a very hilarious photo of us screaming down a slide! Currently taking pride of place on the work fridge!

Describe your experience at Wet’n’Wild:

What a fun day. We had great weather and the park wasn’t as busy as I imagine it would be on a weekend.

The downslide (see what I did there) was that it took forever to carry the inflatable tubes all the way to the top. 7 flights of stairs later, you get a 12 second rush. Which is great fun but…… maybe not entirely worth it. The upside was that Ads and I went on the Skycoaster – which still raises my heartrate when I think about it. It was over 50 meters high and then you just drop and superman through the air. Poor Ads nearly lost his hearing! Terrifyingly amazing!

What was your top highlight from the day:

Make a day of it and book the cabanas, it was nice to have somewhere cool to head back to. Plus the mini fridge kept all our delicious cheese and dips cool 😊
