We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join an Multi Award Winning Financial institution based in Sydney.
As the Senior Data Scientist, you'll lead the development of advanced credit risk models, including IFRS 9 or AASB while also collaborating on AI initiatives across marketing, pricing, and business strategy. This is a unique opportunity to influence key business areas and make a direct impact on the business. Lots of variety and bleeding edge project work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Science/Credit Risk Modelling: Develop and validate models for IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss (ECL), Basel, and other credit risk metrics. This will be some of focus initially but the role will also span out into other areas.
- AI & Business Strategy: Apply sophisticated Data Science & machine learning techniques to enhance marketing effectiveness, pricing strategies, and overall business decision-making.
Experience needed
- Solid experience working on Data Science projects
- Deep skills in Python for model development.
- SQL
- Snowflake for model deployment and monitoring is a bonus!
- Azure DevOps – Bonus!
- AWS or Azure will also be considered
- IFRS 9 project experience or AASB experience is highly desirable or similar quantitative modelling.
- Strong understanding of credit risk assessment methodologies and regulatory frameworks.
- Even if you do not tick all the boxes (maybe you have different technical experience) we are still open to hearing from you, if you have good experience in Credit Risk.
