Our client, a leading Fintech organisation, is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join their dynamic team on a 12 month Contract.
We are seeking a Functional Business Analyst with strong expertise in payments, specifically across card scheme settlements and acquiring processes (Mastercard, Visa, Amex and Eftpos). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in business operations and a good understanding of end-to-end payment lifecycles, including clearing, settlement, reconciliation, dispute handling and scheme compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyse and document business requirements for payments, acquiring and settlement processes.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to gather insights and translate them into functional specifications to improve speed and efficiency.
Support operational teams by reviewing current-state processes, identifying gaps, and driving process improvements.
Liaise with technology teams to ensure functional requirements are clearly understood and delivered effectively.
Conduct workshops, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure alignment across business, operations and technology.
Support testing activities, including functional validation, UAT and production readiness.
Skills & Experience:
Strong Functional Business Analyst skills in requirements gathering and sourcing of data
Knowledge of payments acquiring, clearing, and settlement processes across major card schemes.
Demonstrated experience in business operations within payments or financial services.
Proven ability in stakeholder management, requirement gathering and translating business needs into functional outcomes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for someone who is either able to start as soon as possible or in the first week of January - no later.
