Are you an accomplished Solution Architect (Data/Azure) with a passion for designing innovative, enterprise-grade information systems? We’re embarking on a landmark project to build a new Information Management System, and we’re looking for a visionary architect to lead the design of its data landscape.
This is your chance to work in a medium-sized, progressive government environment, delivering a system that is robust, secure, and highly performant.
What you’ll be doing:
Data Architecture & Management: Define Logical Data Models (LDMs) for complex datasets, including geospatial references and permission enforcement points.
Governance & Compliance: Embed data governance principles throughout the data lifecycle, ensuring permission-based access and full auditability.
Data Migration Strategy: Profile legacy data, design staging environments, and manage data transformation with precision.
Prototype Environment: Stand up sandboxes for data handling, mapping, and integration trials.
Technical Design & Architecture: Produce High-Level Solution Architecture (HLSA) and Azure infrastructure design aligned with organisational standards. Define integration layers, identity models, and security patterns.
Procurement Support: Translate architectural design into RFP requirements, participate in vendor evaluations, and ensure design assurance.
Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs): Ensure infrastructure meets availability, performance, security, and resilience standards.
What we’re looking for:
Deep commercial Azure experience in complex, enterprise-scale environments.
Proven ability to align technical design with business and technical requirements.
Expertise in data modelling, governance, migration, and integration.
Experience engaging with diverse stakeholders in complex environments.
Strong communication skills, capable of translating technical design into actionable requirements for procurement and vendors.
