Location: Brisbane (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months + Potential Extensions
We are seeking a Senior SAP Payroll and Time Evaluation Specialist to lead high-complexity system enhancements within a large-scale, multi-award public sector environment in Brisbane. This is a critical 12-month engagement for a consultant who thrives on "heavy lifting"—translating intricate industrial instruments and legislation into robust technical solutions.
The successful candidate will be a senior specialist capable of driving the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, from leading discovery workshops with SMEs to performing deep-dive system configuration.
Complex Award Interpretation: Lead the design and configuration of sophisticated payroll logic, including “As If At Work” leave scenarios and Pay Day Superannuation compliance.
Solution Discovery & Design: Facilitate workshops with business SMEs to translate complex requirements into clear solution approaches, including impact assessments and effort estimations.
End-to-End Delivery: Ownership of the functional lifecycle: design, configuration, testing support (regression and E2E), and implementation planning.
Strategic Roadmap Alignment: Ensure all proposed solutions are scalable, supportable, and compatible with a future S/4HANA roadmap.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to the business, presenting options, assumptions, and recommendations in a clear, business-friendly manner.
Knowledge Transfer: Support the upskilling of internal business users to ensure long-term system self-sufficiency.
Expert SAP Payroll (PY): Deep functional knowledge of Australian payroll, including tax, superannuation, and legislative compliance.
Advanced Time Evaluation (PT/TM): Proven ability to handle complex award interpretation via hands-on configuration of PCRs and Schemas.
Independent Driver: Must be confident working independently in a complex operating environment to drive outcomes and hit project milestones.
Public Sector Experience: Prior experience navigating the complexity of local or state government awards and unionized environments is highly desirable.
S/4HANA Ready: A mindset focused on leveraging standard functionality and ensuring solutions are "future-proofed" for S/4 transitions.
Longevity: 12-month initial term offering excellent contract stability.
Complexity: A rare opportunity to solve the most challenging payroll and time logic puzzles in the Queensland market.
Impact: A lead role where your expertise directly influences compliance and employee experience for a massive workforce.
