Your Role & Experience:
- First point of contact for identifying, prioritising and resolving Red Hat Linux incident in both production and non-production environments.
- Supporting and maintaining Red Hat Linux environments, to ensure 24x7 availability.
- Deploying, supporting and troubleshooting issues with RHEL systems on premise and in Microsoft Azure
- Maintaining a good understanding of the VMware platform to troubleshoot server issues effectively.
- Administering RedHat Enterprise Linux 7, 8 and 9 OS installs, patching & troubleshooting
- Hosting and supporting SAP instances in a Red Hat Linux environment and assisting the SAP Application team as required
- Hosting and supporting DB2 and Oracle Databases
- Administering Red Hat Linux Satellite Server
- Software implementation, trouble-shooting and application management for RedHat Linux
- Adhering to best practice in relation to Cyber initiatives/improvements.
- Implementing high-availability and disaster recovery in relation to Red Hat Linux configurations
- Automating and administering RedHat Sys Admin tasks using Ansible/Puppet, Python, and/or Bash Shell scripting
- Support of Linux networking, routing technologies
- Manage small/medium projects/work activities or sections of larger projects and interact with stakeholders to ensure business requirements are met
- 8+ Years relevant experience
- Red hat Enterprise Linux or other relevant IT Industry accreditations
- Familiarity with administrating Ansible Automation Platform
- Knowledge of OpenShift – Kubernetes, podman-containers
