  • Long term project (multi-year)
  • 6 month rolling contract, strong daily rate

 

Lead / Senior Android Developer required for a new, long-term project with a leading enterprise tech company. The project is focused around product extension, internationalisation and in general new feature development. These apps handle a very high volume of users in a consumer facing setting, there’s a strong chance you’ve used one of these apps before!

The team values quality of delivery, they appreciate advances in mobile / Android architecture, best practices around delivery, QA and operate in an Agile / Scrum setting. You’ll work within an engineering practice with the usual folk involved (Dev, QA, Devops, Product, Designers etc.)

 

Desired Skills / Experience

  • Expertise in Native Android Development, 6+ years working in Native Android development, ideally experience working in a tech lead capacity
  • Strong experience and understanding of the latest trends in Android development / Architecture, security practices etc.
  • Comfortable providing SME guidance on best practices for Android development, including tooling, deployment processes, and testing.
  • Proven experience building enterprise apps and features from scratch along with ideally helping migrate legacy systems to modern states.
  • Comfortable working alongside architecture teams in concepting / solutioning best practices.
