This is a great fit for someone who enjoys working in Excel day-to-day, takes ownership of their work, and wants to build a long-term career in data & analytics within a modernising enterprise environment.

You’ll be responsible for monthly reporting cycles and a high volume of ad-hoc analysis, supporting both local and offshore stakeholders, while helping transition the business away from Excel-heavy reporting into more automated, scalable data solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own and deliver monthly reporting cycles across key business areas

  • Manage a high volume of ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests

  • Support stakeholders across Australia and offshore teams (including Japan)

  • Contribute to improving and automating reporting processes as the platform evolves

Role split:

  • 60% reporting

  • 40% analysis

Key Skills

  • Advanced Excel (essential) – modelling, pivots, data manipulation, transformation

  • Power Query (essential) – building automated data preparation and logic

  • SQL (nice to have) – querying and extracting data from source systems

  • Power BI / Microsoft Fabric (desirable)

About You

  • Strong hands-on Excel and data manipulation capability

  • Comfortable working with structured, legacy-style data environments

  • Able to navigate hierarchical organisations and multi-region reporting lines

  • Detail-focused with strong emphasis on accuracy and consistency

  • Curious, proactive, and keen to grow within data & analytics

A background in finance or accounting (e.g. P&L structure, product hierarchies, arrears/aging concepts) is helpful but not required. Credit experience is not essential and can be taught.

The Environment

  • Data currently flows from core operational systems into a traditional data warehouse

  • Reporting is heavily Excel-based with some SQL extraction

  • Environment is evolving toward Microsoft Fabric + Power BI as the future-state platform

  • You’ll help define reporting logic and business rules as part of this transformation

Why Apply?

  • Gain exposure to Microsoft Fabric in a live enterprise environment

  • Take ownership of critical business reporting with real autonomy

  • Join a supportive, collaborative analytics team

  • Be part of an exciting transformation from legacy reporting to modern data platforms.
