The role is primarily office based with the possiblity of WFH 1-2 days after probabtion.
Reporting to the Cloud Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining, supporting, and enhancing both on-premises and Microsoft Azure environments. This position offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of technologies including Windows Server, Azure, Microsoft 365, networking, security, and infrastructure automation. The successful candidate will be involved in day-to-day operations, infrastructure projects, technical support, and continuous improvement initiatives within a growing and dynamic IT environment.
Your Role
- Strong administration experience across Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Experience supporting and administering Microsoft Azure services.
- Good understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and troubleshooting.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online and Microsoft Defender.
- Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring tools such as Nagios, PRTG, or similar platforms.
- Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI, or similar technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Customer-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rota.
Your Experience
- Experience administering Azure services including Azure Active Directory, Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, NSGs, VPN Gateway, Load Balancers, Key Vaults, Storage Services, Backup and Recovery, RBAC, Azure SQL, Web Apps, and Azure Monitoring.
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure environments.
- Exposure to Linux administration, including CentOS, Debian, and Bash scripting.
- Experience implementing and maintaining security best practices across infrastructure and cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, ISO 22301, and NIST CSF.
- Experience producing infrastructure health, availability, and performance reporting.
- Proven ability to research, design, and implement new infrastructure solutions.
- Previous experience providing technical support to both internal users and external customers.
- Experience working in a systems administration, cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or similar role.
