Technical Business Analyst
Overview
We are seeking two highly skilled Technical Business Analysts to join a global consultancy client based in Sydney. This is a 3-month contract role with strong potential for extension. The successful candidates will work closely with Power BI developers to assist in data modelling, report building, testing, and walkthroughs. This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a Greenfield project within the manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Power BI developers on the design and development of dashboards and reports.
- Understand and map data sources including data lakes, ensuring clarity in data provenance.
- Conduct testing and validation of Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Run workshops with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
- Write and manage user stories to guide development efforts.
- Perform data modelling and design detailed technical specifications.
- Provide walkthroughs and training sessions on Power BI reports to end users.
- Work onsite two days per week at Darling Harbour, Sydney.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience with Microsoft Power BI, including dashboard development and report design.
- Strong technical knowledge in data modelling
- Ability to identify and understand the structure and location of data lakes and associated data flows.
- Experience conducting workshops and eliciting requirements from diverse stakeholders.
- Skilled in writing user stories and designing technical specifications.
- Excellent communication skills for testing coordination and report walkthroughs.
- Availability to work 2 days per week onsite in Darling Harbour, Sydney.
- Background in FMCG, manufacturing, food & beverage, or pharmaceutical sectors preferred.
