Lead Cyber Security Engineer | Dublin (Hybrid)
Location: Dublin (Hybrid -3 days onsite)
€85-95k DOE with bonus & benefits

A leading organisation in Dublin is looking to appoint a Lead Cyber Security Engineer to play a key role in shaping and delivering its cyber security strategy.
This is a hands-on technical position where you'll work closely with the CISO to design, implement and continuously improve security posture across a complex enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of security engineering projects from design through to implementation.
- Drive improvements across Microsoft security technologies, including Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft 365, identity and access management (IAM, PAM), endpoint security and cloud security.
- Contribute to security architecture, secure infrastructure design and Zero Trust initiatives.
- Partner with internal IT teams and external security providers to strengthen detection, monitoring and incident response capabilities.
- Provide technical guidance on security architecture, risk and best practice across business and technology projects.
- Mentor and support other security professionals within the team.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years' IT experience with at least 4 years in cyber security.
- Strong background in infrastructure, systems or cloud engineering before moving into security.
- Expertise across Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365 and Entra ID/Azure.
- Good understanding of networking, firewalls, secure architecture and Zero Trust principles.
- Experience delivering enterprise security projects and implementing security controls.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience with NIST, ISO 27001 or CIS frameworks.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP or AZ-500.
- PowerShell or Python scripting experience.
- Experience within regulated environments such as healthcare, financial services or critical infrastructure.
- Exposure to securing AI platforms or implementing security controls around AI technologies.
