Our client, a leading global investment firm, is seeking a Director of Engineering to join their team in Galway. This pivotal role involves leading a talented group of software professionals tasked with keeping the company at the cutting edge of financial services by delivering security automation into a large enterprise level organisation.
In this position, you will take ownership of the software engineering team's daily operations, mentor team members, and ensure delivery versus the technology roadmap. You will engage with stakeholders across the business to develop and implement security automation aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include managing a growing software engineering team who will deliver key projects across a global landscape. The role demands strong leadership skills, technical expertise in software engineering, and experience in managing teams within a complex and fast-paced financial environment.
Successful candidates will have a proven track record in software leadership, excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external partners, and a deep understanding of cyber security trends relevant to the financial services sector.
