Technical Business Analyst

Great opportunity has opened up for a Technical Business Analyst to join a highly reputable Investment Wealth Company.

  • Daily Rate: Highly Negotiable depending on experience
  • Contract: 6 Months initially potential to be extended
  • Location: Sydney CBD Office, 3 days onsite 2 days WFH
  • Start Date: ASAP (maximum 1 - 2 weeks notice)

About the Role: Due to increased workload our client is seeking a highly skilled contractor to join their team as a Technical Business Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical business analysis and internal stakeholder support across their IBOR investment banking data workflows and the Charles River trading application. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, document, and analyse business requirements and technical specifications for system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, including front-office trading teams, technology teams, and vendors, to ensure smooth system operations.
  • Support BAU changes by assessing impacts, defining solutions, and assisting in implementation and testing.
  • Collaborate with development and testing teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.
  • Analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to investment data workflows, IBOR, and the Charles River trading systems.
  • Work with the technical teams to assist in the configuration and maintenance of trading platforms and data workflows.

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong experience as a Tech Business Analyst with trading application experience, (ideally Charles River but not essential).
  • Proven background in technical business analyst and a support analyst within an investment banking or asset management environment.
  • Experience working with Investment data workflows (ideally IBOR Investment Book of Record but not essential).
  • Strong understanding of trading applications, and data workflows in investments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills, ability to manage incidents, enhancements, and change requests effectively.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise between technical teams and business stakeholders.
