Do you come from a technical infrastructure background with a sharp focus on operational excellence and strategic impact? We're partnering with a prominent player in the insurance sector to find an experienced IT Operations Manager to lead day-to-day IT functions across a multi-site environment.
This is a high-impact role, reporting directly to the CIO, with broad responsibility across infrastructure, cloud platforms, vendor management, business continuity, and team leadership.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Overseeing IT infrastructure including networks, servers, cloud systems, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Managing IT team performance, training, and development.
- Leading relationships with third-party vendors and partners, ensuring service delivery aligns with business goals.
- Driving continuous improvement across systems availability, security, and compliance.
- Supporting strategic planning and implementation of infrastructure and ICT projects.
- Defining IT policies, managing licensing, SLAs, and operational risks.
What You’ll Bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in IT management, ideally within financial services or a regulated industry.
- Strong track record managing cloud-based environments (e.g., Azure, O365).
- Deep knowledge of cybersecurity, compliance frameworks, and ITSM (e.g., ITIL).
- Proven team leadership with a proactive, solutions-led approach.
- Experience managing vendors, contracts, and service-level delivery.
- Solid understanding of network security, data protection, and infrastructure design.
Location & Travel:
- Based in Dublin with occasional travel to regional offices.
- Own car is essential
