Business/System Analyst Charles River - 6 month Contract

Our client, a respected firm in the financial services sector, is seeking an Business Analyst with expertise in the Charles River Investment Management System (IMS) to join their team.

 In this role you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and IT solutions. You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document requirements that support investment management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with business users and technical teams to understand and translate business requirements related to Charles River IMS.
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions to capture functional and non-functional requirements.
  • End to end analysis tasks with a focus on trade workflow, data analysis and data transformation. 
  • Delivery of quality documentation
  • Input into solution design, data structures and design decisions
  • Test planning, design and execution

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • 5+ years' experience within the Investment Management industry working as a Technical Business Analyst or Front Office support analyst.
  • Proven working knowledge of a wide range of financial instruments including equities, fixed income and OTC derivatives.
  • Expert understanding of the end to end data flows between the Front Office and Middle Office.
  • Experience with data vendors such as FactSet, IRESS, Bloomberg, Refinitiv, ICE
  • Experience work with security data, security classifications and security mastering. 
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SQL
