An exciting opportunity has arisen for an AI Factory Senior Manager to lead a newly established centre of excellence dedicated to driving the delivery of AI and advanced analytics solutions. This is a pivotal leadership role within the organisation’s Data & AI function, reporting directly to the Chief Data Officer.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in turning identified business use cases into real-world, scalable AI solutions — helping the business harness the power of data and automation to transform operations, improve decision-making, and deliver measurable commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the AI Factory, overseeing the design and delivery of AI and advanced analytics initiatives.
- Work closely with senior business stakeholders to identify, prioritise, and shape high-value use cases.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of AI initiatives — from ideation and proof of concept through to production, embedding, and continuous improvement.
- Translate complex AI concepts into tangible business outcomes and commercial value.
- Build and develop a high-performing cross-functional team, including analytics professionals and a Scrum Master.
- Promote agile ways of working, innovation, and responsible AI practices across the business.
- Represent the AI Factory in senior forums and influence key stakeholders on the strategic potential of AI.
About You
- 7+ years’ experience in AI, data science, or advanced analytics, with a strong record of delivering impactful AI-driven projects.
- Proven ability to take ideas from concept to production, embedding AI or automation into business processes.
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and working within an agile delivery model.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
- Commercial mindset — able to identify, quantify, and communicate the business value of AI solutions.
- Technical expertise across R, Python, SAS, and Azure (legacy environment in R, with a focus on transition to Azure and Python).
- Background in financial services, insurance, or another complex, data-rich environment advantageous.
