You’re someone who’s equally comfortable working with data pipelines and writing software. You like solving real problems, shipping useful features, and growing your skills across different disciplines.
This role lets you do all of that in one place.
Let’s start with the basics. You’ll work in a flexible environment with three days in a central Sydney office. There’s also a genuine pathway into a Senior or Lead position, backed by support, not buzzwords.
The company is a product-led fintech with a global platform. Your first mission will be to take ownership of their Azure data environment — including a major client migration and ongoing platform improvements using Azure Data Factory.
As you settle in, your work will shift toward a balanced mix of data engineering and feature development, contributing to the core application in C# and .NET.
You’ll be building ETL/ELT pipelines, tuning SQL, designing data models, and collaborating on a new insights product — all while writing production code that ships to users.
The tech includes Azure Data Factory, SQL, Azure, C#/.NET. You’ll work closely with product and engineering peers, helping shape ideas, architecture, and delivery.
To succeed, you’ll need proven experience building pipelines with ADF, plus commercial background writing, deploying and maintaining C#/.NET applications. You’re hands-on, curious, collaborative, and comfortable working across a modern cloud stack.
