- Hybrid Role - 2 Days/Week in Dublin 2 Location
- Working on a VMware estate with a footprint of approximately 400 ESXi hosts and 4,500 VMs
- €80k-€95k/Year + Statuatory Pension + Annual Leave
Your Responsabilities:
- Management of server virtualisation infrastructure
- Patching and upgrading of virtualisation infrastructure
- Design and expansion of virtualisation clusters
- Responding to and fixing calls escalated within OLA / SLA
- Auditing and reporting, as required
- Creation and maintenance of documentation, as necessary
- DR (Live Site Recovery) configuration and execution
- VMware Tools management
- Monitoring of the estate using Aria Suite
- 1VMware appliance deployment, configuration and management
Your Experience:
- Excellent knowledge of VMware vSphere 8.0 or later and VMware Site
- Live Site Recovery
- Good knowledge of Scripting, preferably PowerShell
- Familiar with Photon OS and vCLI
- Solid experience of troubleshooting in a VMware environment
- Knowledge of Dell Servers (tower, rack & VRTX), Open Manage Essentials
- Experience of Hypervisor Server Performance Monitoring
- In-depth knowledge of Infrastructure Hardware and Software Technologies
- Excellent knowledge of Infrastructure Hardware and Software best practices
- Virtualization platform security knowledge (ESXi hardening, VM shell configuration)
- Experience with vSAN technology and standard array mapped datastores
- Some Understanding of networking (NSX, ipv4, vDS, VLANS)
- Working Knowledge of Active Directory and core domain services (incl. Wins, DNS, DHCP)
- Exposure to Aria Suite (Aria Operations, Aria Lifecycle Manager, Aria Automation)
