Location: Galway, hybrid working
Contract length: 12 months, excellent day rate, extensions expected

Senior Java Developer, long term contracting role.

You'll help design and build high-throughput systems for a well-know fintech business in Galway. You’ll get exposure to some heavy areas of financial services including funds / trades in a modern tech driven environment.

This is a great opportunity for a Senior Java developer seeking a long-term contracting role within an organisation that’s heavily investing in modern technologies and innovative approaches.

 

Desired Skills

  • 5+ years Java development experience, comfortable working across Spring / Spring Boot microservices etc.
  • Comfortable with Angular, ideally your flexible to work across the full stack, the roles are usually more back end orientated with an element of UI. There is also scope for React cross-training and there may be some React projects too.
  • Exposure to Nodejs is nice to have
  • Good knowledge around AWS is preferred or at least good exposure to a modern cloud environment and principles to development of cloud native software.
  • Exposure to Kafka / MQ tech nice to have
  • Exposure to Kubernetes / Docker etc. nice to have but not essential.
  • Curiosity about AI-driven efficiencies and a knack for proposing smarter ways to build
