Change & Communication Manager

About the Program

The program is mid‑flight and implementing a new ERP system that will materially change operational processes. While Business Readiness Leads, Change Analysts and BAs are in place, communications capacity is limited - resulting in noise, inconsistent messaging and unanswered questions across the organisation

Role Overview

The Change & Communications Manager will lead the design and delivery of the program’s communications, engagement and readiness strategy. This role ensures the business receives clear, consistent and confidence‑building messaging,  not just training materials.

You will shape the narrative, define the channels, build the engagement rhythm, and ensure leaders are equipped to cascade messages effectively. This is a hands‑on, strategic and delivery‑focused role suited to someone who thrives in fast‑paced, smaller environments with short timeframes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communications strategy development — Build the overarching communications and engagement strategy for the transformation program.

  • Engagement framework design — Establish the cadence, channels and mechanisms for consistent, organisation‑wide engagement.

  • Executive committee support — Provide structured insights, messaging recommendations and readiness reporting to senior leaders.

  • Sentiment and confidence tracking — Identify areas of concern, measure confidence levels and surface “squeaky wheels” early.

  • Internal research and feedback loops — Coordinate surveys, sentiment analysis and feedback mechanisms to inform communication priorities.

  • Message development and content packaging — Translate technical content into clear, accessible messaging tailored to different audiences.

  • Leadership enablement — Equip managers with simple, repeatable messaging they can confidently cascade.

  • Training and communications alignment — Ensure training is supported by communications that reinforce behaviour change and readiness.

  • Governance and reporting — Provide structured reporting on communication effectiveness, risks and readiness indicators.

  • Face‑to‑face engagement — Build trust and alignment through in‑person engagement across the business.

Ideal Candidate

  • Strong background in communications, engagement strategy, change management or transformation.

  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering communications strategies in complex environments.

  • Ability to simplify complex technical information into clear, compelling narratives.

  • Confident influencing senior stakeholders and coaching leaders to deliver consistent messaging.

  • Skilled at reading organisational sentiment and adjusting communication approaches accordingly.

  • Experience running surveys, sentiment analysis or internal research.

  • Comfortable working in smaller, fast‑paced organisations with limited structure.

  • Thrives in roles requiring both strategic thinking and hands‑on delivery.
