Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager - People Transition to spearhead a significant, people-centric transformation initiative involving the onboarding of 160 new team members, inclusive of 55 offshore hires. This critical role is integral to managing the comprehensive people strategy within a complex merger and acquisition (M&A) environment. The successful candidate will oversee coordination across multiple stream leads, manage the interview and offer processes, and champion change management initiatives aligned with the organisation’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all stream leads associated with people-related workstreams to ensure seamless integration and onboarding of new employees.
  • Oversee the interview, offer, and onboarding processes, ensuring all hires are fully prepared for a smooth transition into the organisation.
  • Collaborate closely with internal project stream leads and resources by organising bi-weekly meetings and facilitating additional workshops as required.
  • Manage the implementation of remuneration and benefits arrangements in partnership with payroll teams, ensuring alignment with company policies and standards.
  • Supervise employee communications and contribute to organisational design initiatives to optimise workforce effectiveness.
  • Coordinate advertising of internal positions and manage the scheduling of interviews, adhering rigorously to transparent offer processes.
  • Develop detailed plans and milestones for transition activities and provide regular reporting to key stakeholders, including executive leadership.
  • Facilitate offshore onboarding efforts to promote integration and engagement of the international workforce.
  • Ensure full compliance with M&A protocols and maintain strict adherence to timelines for project commencement following official sign-off.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience managing comprehensive people transition projects, particularly within M&A within financial services
  • Exceptional coordination and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead multiple workstreams and foster collaboration across diverse teams.
  • Technical HR proficiency encompassing remuneration, benefits administration, and payroll interface management.
  • Experience in onboarding offshore employees is highly advantageous.
  • Capability to develop and implement HR strategies, detailed plans, and milestones that align tightly with business objectives.
