We are seeking an experienced Automation QA Engineer with a strong focus on ETL and data validation to ensure the quality, accuracy, and reliability of enterprise applications and data solutions. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions across application, API, and data layers, with a primary emphasis on validating ETL processes, data transformations, and data integrity.
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts.
Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end automated tests.
Validate ETL processes by ensuring accurate data extraction, transformation, and loading.
Create and execute SQL queries to verify data quality, completeness, and integrity.
Perform source-to-target data validation and reconciliation.
Test APIs, applications, and backend services to ensure seamless system integration.
Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and data engineers to define test strategies and improve product quality.
Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives.
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and automation assets.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience in software quality assurance with a focus on test automation.
Strong experience with ETL and data validation testing.
Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
Experience developing automated tests using tools and languages such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Java, Python, or similar.
Experience testing REST APIs and backend services.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with cloud platforms and modern data platforms.
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL tools.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Relevant automation or QA certifications are a plus.
