Finance Business Analyst

Overview

My client are currently going through a major finance transformation program and requires a Senior Finance Business Analyst with genuine finance depth to act as the central point between Finance and the program. This role is critical in shaping the finance stream, driving process uplift, and ensuring all finance activities are captured, sequenced, and delivered effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run book collation for a whole series of finance migrations

  • Act as the central liaison between Finance and the program, ensuring alignment and clarity

  • Work with Finance teams to capture all activities, requirements, and dependencies

  • Lead finance process uplift across reconciliations, operating model, and process design

  • Run Agile stand‑ups, manage Jira boards, and maintain delivery cadence

  • Map and document end‑to‑end finance processes across multiple functional areas

  • Work through migration impacts, ensuring all elements are captured, sequenced, and validated

  • Represent Finance across program forums, ensuring risks, issues, and gaps are surfaced early

Ideal Background

  • Finance‑qualified (CA/CPA or equivalent) or an accountant who’s transitioned into BA/project roles

  • Strong BA fundamentals with experience across multiple finance domains (GL, AP, AR, reconciliations, reporting, controls, etc.)

  • Proven experience in finance transformation, migrations, or integration programs

  • Comfortable running stand‑ups, managing Jira, and working in Agile environments

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Ability to cut through ambiguity, organise complex streams, and deliver outcomes quickly
