Data Engineer MS Fabric

Location: Dublin – Hybrid
Contract: 6 months approx.
Day Rate: Circa €300-€350 per day depending on experience

I’m working with a Dublin-based client who is looking for a Data Engineer to join a data migration project on an initial contract of approximately 6 months.

The role will suit someone with around 5 years’ Data Engineering experience who has strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and has worked on data migration or data transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric.
  • Support the migration of data from existing platforms into new data environments.
  • Work on data extraction, transformation, mapping and validation.
  • Develop and optimise data solutions within the Fabric ecosystem.
  • Work closely with Data Engineers, Analysts and wider project stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot data quality and integration issues.
  • Ensure migrated data is accurate, reliable and fit for purpose.

Key Requirements:

  • Around 5 years’ experience in Data Engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
  • Experience working on data migration projects.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Good understanding of data modelling and data integration.
  • Comfortable working in a project-focused environment and collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.
