Our client is a small consultancy specialising in providing IT services to NSW State Government. They are currently scoping a large project to gather data from a number of local councils across NSW. This initial project will see you spending 2 - 4 weeks assessing qualitative and quantative data sources relating to residential development approvals to identify data collection methods, data limitations, number of viable data points and timelines for data collection.
We are looking for an analyst specialising in deriving structured data from disparet sources (both online and paper based). You will have solid SQL skills, experience with a variety of databases, exceptional excel skills and a strong statistical background. In addition you will have experience working within local councils (and know how to get things done within them) and will have solid requirements gathering skills.
As this contract is largely a discovery phase project there is a lot of uncertainty about specific technical skills. However, once the initial phase is completed we hope that this project will lead into a longer term opportunity as the project enters the data gathering phase which may then lead to continual projects within different councils.
As this contract will eventually involve travel to a number of councils throughout NSW, the ability to travel within the state is essential. Click apply to find out more detail
