Junior Project Manager

The Project Manager has primary responsibility for defining, planning, tracking and managing the projects they are assigned. In this role you will be managing a number of small to medium projects at any one time. Project delivery can be to end customers, partner channels or internal facing. You will be responsible for identifying key resources and providing the direction required for meeting the project objectives. You will also be responsible for ensuring appropriate management, customer and supplier involvement throughout the life of the project. 

Duties include: 

  • Deliver assigned projects:
    • New deployments of product suite which are mainly SAAS products and service solutions that enable Modern Workplace/Remote working.
    • Transition to Managed Service or other in-life services
    • Existing customer architecture re-design
    • End-user roll out projects
  • Delivery of internal projects such as IT rollouts or enhancements
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Work with operations manager on internal resource allocation for service desk projects
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on-time and within scope based on services purchased
  • Understand project scope, and identify opportunities to expand the scope were appropriate
  • Manage the internal time-tracking system and provide weekly and monthly reporting
  • Develop detailed project plans to track progress of each project
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Manage the project tracking tool and provide weekly & monthly reporting
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Manage customer facing handover documents
  • Organise configuration, testing, training, and system handover

 Skills/Experience required:

  • Project Management qualification, ideally Prince 2 Foundation
  • 2-3 years' experience in IT project management or customer delivery processes
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and principles
  • Ability to lead, motivate and encourage team work
  • Customer focus - Focuses on both internal and external customers and develops understanding of all relevant issues
  • Comprehensive understanding of products and delivery process, managing any tension between sales and implementation
  • Technical understanding of IT products and/or services
  • Fluent in English

Bonus points for:

  • ITIL3 or ITIL4 certified 
  • 3rd level qualification in Computer Science or technical discipline
  • Knowledge of the UEM Industry and Modern Workplace Solutions
