Technical Business Analyst

Technical Business Analyst required for a new contract role within a large IM&T Portfolio Project in NSW Government 

  • Contract: 7 Months
  • Hourly Pay Rate: $71 - $100 plus super
  • Location: WFH & St Leonards
  • ASAP Start Date
  • NSW Government

The Role:

  • Will provide Business Analyst support for the IM&T Portfolio Project.
  • Will be responsible for requirements elicitation and development, system analysis, gap analysis, developing decision trees, process workflows, testing and documentation.
  • Will be required to have knowledge of the PMO function.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Document business processes that support the creation of the annual strategic IM&T Roadmap for all key senior stakeholders to adopt
  • Collect information, analyse, create, test, implement and train on new systems and processes to be implemented in support of the Demand queue in to the Planning and Portfolio function within IM&T
  • Elicit requirements, analyse, create and socialise new systems and processes to be implemented, to support good project governance within the Project and Contracts Governance Group
  • Perform business process mapping to define business rules, processes, inputs and outputs that support requirements relating to the objectives and scope of the IM&T Portfolio Project
  • Support Project Manager in creation and adoption of RACI
  • Support Project Manager in Communications and Change plan and in adoption across the Executive Leadership Team and all divisions
  • Conduct training on new IM&T procedures and systems within IM&T and externally within broader project and Program Managers across the Institute
  • Update relevant IM&T operating policies and procedures with Technical Writer

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong experience working as a Technical Business Analyst within complex environments
  • Experience in developing process flow diagrams (UML), wireframes, user requirements, functional specifications, technical specifications, test cases and user documentation
  • Experience in system and process development methodology and project management methodology
  • Understanding of integration issues and impact of  systems and processes across different organisational functions
  • Tertiary level qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent industry experience within the Health or Government industry.
