Junior Scrum Master

 

Leading FinTech looking to grow their Agile practice by developing passionate, wanna-be Scrum Master's.

As a passionate career focussed individual we don't want you 'yet' to be a Scrum Master. We want you to become a 'great one'. Therefore if you are looking around your office or your 'zoom-room' thinking... "When am I gonna get my chance?" Here it is.

There are 10 - 14 squads within the IT function and currently 3 Scrum Masters. As you can, here is our  reason to grow.

You will be supported by the other Scrum Masters in the team and you will be lead and coached by the Agile Leader.

Eventually your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating psychologically safe teams to deliver value within Agile Ways of Working
  • Leading / supporting team to run Scrum events
  • Increasing effectiveness of distributed teams through collaboration and communication
  • Working with the wider team to optimise squad engineering practices, for example DevOps, QA excellence
  • Coaching teams and looking for ways to continuously improve performance by upskilling and training
  • Supporting product owners to maintain a team roadmap
  • Supporting the team in identifying and managing dependencies, impediments, conflicts and risks, while coaching them towards becoming increasingly self-organised
  • Assisting with reporting on squad Agile practices in order to drive an uplift in capability and consistency across our delivery teams

We are looking for a candidate who is Agile and Scrum Certified with ideally (but not essential) a degree in business relevant IT, a business discipline or relevant experience.

You will also need to have demonstrated 3-5 years of IT and Business projects within traditional waterfall, Agile and predominantly Scrum systems.

They will train and develop you, they will expect you to seek further career development. They will always have opportunities to improve your skills and learn new ones.

Salary Range: $130 – 140k base + super annually DOE
