Digital Manager required for an exciting contract role within a large Government Department.

 

Contract: 12 months (possible ext)
Pay rate: $1000 to $1200 per day plus super 
Start date: May 2022
Location: CBD and WFH

About the role: 

The Manager, Digital Products and Engagement is responsible for the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for a suite of digital products. You will lead a small team that acts as the bridge between the business and delivery teams to ensure products and applications meet business requirements.

The role also manages project resources to deliver significant enhancement projects and represents the Digital Products Team across the department and with external agencies including ICT and digital transformation programs and projects. It is frequently required to resolve complex technological issues/problems in a wide and diverse range of contexts, requiring the application of sound technical expertise.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead and manage a small team of technical and business analysts including day to day work allocation and capability development to support and enhance digital applications.
  • Oversee project teams to deliver significant enhancement projects.
  • Identify, analyse, recommend and prioritise the backlog for the portfolio of digital applications including scoping and translating business and policy requirements to technical requirements to deliver solutions that align to objectives.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities associated with the product suite, including issue-management, product related queries, as well as the maintenance of business rules, policies, and the product architecture.
  • Development of product strategy, roadmaps and business cases to support product investment.
  • Make effective prioritisation decisions based on data and multiple different perspectives and be accountable for the delivery of product roadmaps including clear communication and managing expectations of stakeholders.
  • Manage the planning and deployment of product initiatives and coordinate change campaigns.
  • Regularly measure, analyse and report on product performance to ensure user and business requirements are being met and continuously improved.
  • Contribute to the professional development of project team members by providing leadership, management and coaching where relevant.
  • Prepare a range of strategic and operational documents as required, including briefing papers, discussion papers, reports, submissions, and responses to information requests.

 

Essential requirements: 

  • Knowledge and experience in information technology, developing and managing product roadmaps and/or the delivery of digital projects.
  • Managing and leading high performing, inclusive teams
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
  • Sound strategic thinking capacity, management, and administrative skills
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
