Assistant Project Officer Planning

  • Contract: ASAP - 12 Months (Highly likely to extend)
  • Rate: $490 per day + Super
  • Location: Sydney CBD office with the option to WORK FROM HOME 2 days a week. 
  • Checks: 2x References, WWCC, Police Check

 

Purpose of the role:
Undertake a range of project research, analysis, reporting, and administrative activities to support the development and delivery of projects and initiatives, in line with established objectives.

Key Accountabilities:
•Provide project and operational support services to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within the agreed scope, in line with established agency project management methodology.

•Provide a range of administrative services, including coordinating working groups, committees and meetings, and contributing to the preparation of draft correspondence, papers and minutes, which support the strategic and operational objectives of the unit.
•Assist the project team to complete tasks and implement project plans to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved.
•Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and implementation issues.
•Receive and respond to routine queries and provide consistent advice and information to support timely and effective project delivery outcomes.
•Coordinate and manage records and databases, complying with administrative systems, processes and policies to ensure that all information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible.

 

 

Essential requirements:
•Relevant qualifications and/or experience, preferably gained through the completion of a business-related tertiary qualification and supplemented by practical experience in a diverse and complex operating environment.
•Current general construction induction card (White card), or attainment of one within a reasonable timeframe.

Benefit requirements:
• Town Planning qualifications and/or experience

• Previous government experience and/or experience on Education projects.
