Senior Data Engineer – 2 roles available. Daily rate contracts.

Australian Fintech seeks two Data Engineers (Contract) to work on a new project to work on a new Analytics re- platform project that is central to the business.

Play a key role in the transformation of analytics and insights delivery for a rapidly-growing, digitally-native business.

You will work on a friendly team with cutting-edge technology. Great chance to get Databricks experience.

 

Role:

  • Work collaboratively as part of the Data Squad to develop new architectural principles.
  • Define, map and model the data and data-flows from transactional sources, client data and external data providers.
  • Deploy and maintain data pipelines/assets which enable an increase in delivery speed for analytics and reporting requests and encourage reusability.

 

Key Skills Needed:

  • Solid skills with SQL and Python
  • Jira & Confluence
  • AWS is ideal however will consider other cloud experience.
  • Deep knowledge of data preparation, transformation and modelling techniques
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Confidence and an ability to work both as a team player and independently.

 

Bonus Skills:

  • Previous work experience with Apache Spark / PySpark and the AWS analytics stack
  • Exposure to an analytics re-platform project
  • Experience working on a financial crime project,
