About the role:
The Manager Scheduling and Resource Allocation is responsible for overseeing the effective management of resourcing and scheduling plans, strategies, systems and advice for the Product Group product development portfolio and projects.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead a team providing sound project resourcing and scheduling advice and services to effectively support the management, control and governance of product development projects through the full range of project phases from initiation to implementation.
- Lead the establishment and maintenance of systems and processes, optimising the use of technology, to support project scheduling, resources management and reporting activities.
- Oversee master scheduling and individual project schedules ensuring they accurately reflect and support project requirements and are regularly updated to incorporate changes in project plans.
- Oversee and guide the production of sound resourcing allocation plans and implementation of strategies to ensure resources are available to meet project needs.
- Monitor and report upon the status of projects and related issues and risks with particular focus on scheduling, resourcing, and associated financials, providing specialist advice on options for resolution.
- Provide specialist advice and support to product workstream leads to improve project planning strategies, identify interdependencies across teams and improve project outcomes.
- Demonstrate a genuine commitment to safety excellence and safety leadership. This includes setting health and safety expectations, results and behaviours with direct reports, providing a safe workplace and ways of working, and promoting and complying with safety systems and procedures. 8. Place the customer at the centre of all decision making.
- Manage and develop a high performance team, aligned to the core values of integrity, collaboration, excellence and a customer first attitude, through effective leadership, support and feedback.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure the development and regular review of meaningful individual performance management and development plans that are clearly aligned to strategic objectives and focused to develop the individual.
Essential requirements:
- Degree qualification in related field or equivalent significant experience.
- Demonstrated strong program and project management, scheduling and resource allocation experience.
- Demonstrated experience in influencing a wide range of stakeholders and collaborating to determine acceptable solutions.
- Ability to address and meet focus capabilities as stated in the Position Description
