Our client is a leading services provider in the Irish and international market.
This role is a part of the presales team and the ideal candidate would feel comfortable providing management and configuration guidance for next-generation voice and video solutions. Although dealing with Cisco technologies is the primary responsibility of the position, it is good to have some familiarity with those of our other vendors, particularly Microsoft. The role is Cisco focused, and you will be CCNP or CCIE certified.
Job Responsibilities:
- High- & low-level design of Voice and VTC networks
- Working with customers
- Assisting the deployment of voice and video technologies (primarily Cisco) in an engineering capacity
- Working with clients to perform assessments, health checks, performance tests, and capacity planning.
- Provides knowledge transfer, training, and documentation to clients upon project completion.
- Maintains current and thorough knowledge of Cisco voice and video technologies.
- Supporting other enabling technologies, e.g. certificate services
- Good knowledge and hands-on experience of enterprise class platforms is a requirement as well as a variety of other hardware platforms particularly cloud and converged systems.
- Assists in opportunity evaluation and leading or assisting on pursuits at new clients or within existing ones.
- Demonstrates and actively promotes an understanding and commitment to the mission of the company through performing behaviours consistent with the organisation's values.
- Provide support to clients on Cisco environments.
- Supports and conducts self in a manner consistent with customer service expectations.
Experience:
- Advanced technical knowledge of VoIP/IP telephony systems, on-prem and cloud. Strong hands-on knowledge of the configuration and optimisation of systems
- Must have a strong understanding of industry standard VOIP technologies including SIP, H.323, G.711, G.729, TCP/IP, DHCP, SNMP, TFTP, IEEE 802.3 family, QoS, and CoS
- Experience designing and implementing Cisco Room Kit and Telepresence solutions
- Experience with Web Conferencing solutions such as Webex, Microsoft Teams and Zoom
- High level of competence in the following: Cisco VOIP (CUCM), Cisco Unified Border Control Element (CUBE), Cisco Instant Messaging and Presence (IMP), Cisco video bridging infrastructure, and Cisco TelePresence
- General knowledge of Unified Communications including integration of Cisco and Microsoft Exchange
- Knowledge of Microsoft Teams would be beneficial
- Full understanding of network protocols within the TCP suite
- Knowledge of Cloud voice and video technologies/marketplace
- Experience of large-scale enterprise support utilising industry best practices and mature processes
- Ideally should have a chargeable professional services / consulting, client-facing background.
- Outstanding oral, written, and technical/business communication skills.
- Customer service focus and excellent interpersonal skills.
