Networks Team Lead

Role Overview:

As the Networks Team Lead, you will oversee a versatile network engineering team responsible for network development, capacity management, and performance optimization. Leveraging your extensive knowledge of service provider networking and hands-on experience in operational support, you will lead the design and support of solutions across various business areas. Operating within a small, agile team, you will have exposure at all organizational levels and report directly to the Head of Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end design, planning, implementation, and support of telecom network solutions.
  • Propel network development to align with service delivery and operational needs.
  • Act as the technical lead in large, complex projects.
  • Serve as the point of contact for escalating network issues from 1st or 2nd line support.
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Core/ISP and Broadband Subscriber Network Functions.
  • Develop internal design configuration documentation, including network diagrams and technical explanations.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to provide feedback on existing products and contribute insights for new products.
  • Offer support, coaching, and training to team members.

Key Skills / Qualifications:

  • Extensive networking experience in a telecommunications environment.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing engineering teams and overseeing large-scale technical networking projects.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with Alcatel/Nokia/Cisco/Fortinet (routers/switches/Firewalls).
  • In-depth understanding of routing protocols, specifically BGP, MPLS, ISIS, OSPF, RADIUS.
  • Expertise in ISP Peering maintenance and troubleshooting, including comprehension of Internet Routing norms and the operation of Internet Exchange Points.
  • Experience in design, build, and operation of Broadband Subscriber systems, including RADIUS.
  • Strong comprehension of WAN and CPE QoS technologies, including traffic prioritization and shaping.
  • Telecom vendor experience in designing, testing, and validating carrier-class platforms.
  • Desirable certifications: JNCIP/CCNP/NRSII or equivalent.

This is a full time permanent position with a hybrid working environment. The salary is €75,000-€85,000
