The Opportunity

This is a hands on operational design role primarily responsible for performing network design and technology testing functions for all aspects of our clients Core and Access networks. You will provide escalated support to the Network Operations team and resolve complex faults.

You will be exposed to a range of leading edge technologies including GBP, ISIS, Segment Routing, EVPN, XGS-PON, G-Fast DSL, Multi-point 60GHz and 80GHz Wireless, Enterprise WiFi, NBN, Hosted Telephone and more.

Skills Required

5 years experience working in Network Operations preferably with an MSP
Expert understanding of IP Addressing, TCP/IP and Ethernet protocols, IP Routing protocols (BGP/ISIS), telecommunications data services, access-lists, network security and firewall implementations.
Expert understanding of Ethernet, 802.1q, 802.1ad and Spanning Tree Protocol (STP)
General network protocol knowledge and experience with DNS, DHCP, VRRP, LACP, SNMP
Experience using and configuring device management tools for network management and monitoring purposes.
CCNA/CCNP/JNCIS/JNCIP highly advantageous
Experience working on large scale IP and MPLS Networks
Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to work without supervision as well as in a team environment.
