- Contract: ASAP - 31st of March
- Pay rate: $85 - $90 P/H + super
- Location: Parramatta office 2-3 days & work from home the rest of the week.
- Must have Australian Permanent Residency or citizenship and reside in NSW.
Primary purpose of the role:
The Senior Manager Divestment and Transfers, OSL, manages the functions of divesting and developing surplus land and transferring land to other State and local government agencies for open space, infrastructure, transport corridors, coastal lands and other State Government priorities, while maintaining sound fiscal outcomes. The Senior Manager plays a key role in OSL and partners with other agencies at a senior level to support land acquisition across agencies.
Your deliverables in the role:
- Assist the Director Strategy & Transaction in planning land divestments for open space, public, and environmental purposes.
- Manage the Land Bank Strategy and identify strategic land use opportunities.
- Support financial, risk, and governance oversight while ensuring efficient execution of land divestments and management decisions.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders on land management and development.
- Lead staff performance, budget management, and governance within the team.
- Provide expert advice on land acquisitions, divestments, and future land uses.
Experience you must have for this role:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in land divestments and acquisitions.
- Proven track record in managing complex property transactions, ideally within government or large organizations.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, including experience with government agencies, partners, and community groups.
- Expertise in creating and executing strategic plans for asset divestment and management.
- Knowledge and experience working within or in collaboration with the NSW Government.
