As the Infrastructure Architect you will develop the overall architecture and roadmaps and collaborate with cross functional teams aligning to business imperatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with the development of the overall Enterprise Architecture and its roadmap(s) with agreed deliverable milestones and deadlines.
- Development and implementation of a strategic Infrastructure architecture to include, Cloud environments, Networks, End Point device management and Workplace capabilities.
- Designing and implementing strategic Workplace capabilities and technologies, including Communication platforms.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Implementing and maintaining standardised cloud-based technologies (Azure).
- Designing and implementing standardised network infrastructure solutions, including firewalls and VPNs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and security policies, such as HIPAA and PCI DSS.
Technical and Soft Skills required:
- Strategic Infrastructure architecture: Development and ownership of Infrastructure architecture and roadmaps.
- Network Architecture: Proficiency in designing, implementing, and optimising network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Cloud Expertise: Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and the ability to design and manage cloud-based solutions for cost optimisation.
- Communications and Vision (CCTV) platforms: Architecture & design expertise.
- Security Knowledge: Understanding of security protocols, encryption, and best practices for securing networks and endpoints.
- Server Infrastructure: Knowledge of server hardware, virtualisation (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and storage solutions.
- Endpoint Management: Experience with endpoint devices (desktops, laptops, mobile devices) and their integration into the network.
- Scripting and Automation: Knowledge in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) to automate tasks and streamline processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science is preferred.
- Certifications in TOGAF or similar certifications preferred.
- strong experience in Infrastructure engineering and/or Infrastructure architecture 5+ years' experience as a lead Infrastructure Architect / Engineer.
