Project Analyst

We've a fantastic role available for an ambitious, smart and eager Project Analyst to join a global business in North Dublin. They are building out a new PMO practice, and you'll get the opportunity to help shape this from the beginning, along with getting on a path to become a fully fledged Project Manager in the future.

Initially you will be accountable for supporting the governance and reporting of all Group IT projects.
Additionally you will support the delivery of the portfolio of projects ensuring that the projects are tracked appropriately and that they are delivered on time and on budget. This involves on-boarding of projects, review of business cases, tracking of projects in JIRA, our project management tool, and on engaging with a broad range of business stakeholders and the broader project team to deliver projects successfully.

Other Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure projects are set up correctly in project systems for reporting and tracking.
  • Support Group IT project owners with project processes, e.g., facilitating project planning, facilitating project lessons learnt.
  • Support creation of monthly reports for reporting on the IT project portfolio.
  • Ensure the effective maintenance of IT project applications, completing system administration, training and support for users.

About you:

  • Have 2-4 years’ experience in a PMO environment.
  • Effective presentation skills, including the ability to present complex information in an understandable manner to all areas of the business.
  • Experience of working with teams using a wide variety of frameworks and methodologies (traditional waterfall and iterative/agile delivery and process improvement methodologies).
  • Experience of using projects tools (e.g. JIRA, Project Plans).
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ambition to develop into a Project Manager.
  • Are a highly motivated self-starter with a can-do attitude.
  • Are a collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Proven ability in developing effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation
