Senior Cisco Consultant

My client is a leading IT Solutions and Managed Services provider based in Dublin, known for thier commitment to delivering innovative technology solutions to clients across various industries. 

Position Overview: As a Senior Cisco Consultant, you will play a key role in driving our clients pre-sales initiatives while supporting the delivery of tailored network solutions for their clients. This customer-facing role requires an individual with strong technical expertise, alongside excellent communication skills to ensure client satisfaction and effective solution delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Sales Consulting:

    • Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand client requirements and design tailored Cisco solutions to address their needs.
    • Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept sessions to articulate the value of Cisco solutions to prospective clients.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive solution proposals, including detailed technical specifications and competitive insights.
  • Solution Design and Implementation:

    • Architect, configure, and deploy Cisco-based solutions (e.g., routing, switching, security, collaboration) to ensure alignment with client objectives and technical specifications.
    • Assist in project planning, ensuring technical deliverables are met on time and within scope.
    • Provide oversight and guidance to junior team members to ensure high standards of delivery and technical integrity.
  • Client Relationship Management:

    • Serve as a trusted advisor for clients, understanding their business and technical challenges to foster long-term relationships.
    • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Maintain an ongoing dialogue with clients to gather feedback, address concerns, and identify future opportunities for IT improvement.

Requirements:

  • Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) is an advantage but not essential
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cisco networking, with significant experience in delivery.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong skills in Cisco routing, switching, security, and/or collaboration technologies.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; confident presenting to clients and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to translate client needs into technically sound and cost-effective solutions.
  • Customer-Centric Attitude: Dedication to client success with a consultative, solutions-oriented approach.
