TRC Group has recently been recognised as one of Australia's leading recommended employers by the Australian Business Awards. The Award, presented to only a handful of companies every year, recognises companies that go above and beyond to provide a stimulating and supportive workplace for their staff. The awards' stringent criteria involves a written entry alongside material evidence to demonstrate a company's approach to organisational culture, leadership and strategy, employee education, training & development, employee health & safety and satisfaction, employee recognition & remuneration, and lastly, industry contributions and achievements. 2011 big-named winners include Deloitte, ING Direct, Optus and Queensland Rail.
Entries are assessed using specific criteria via an established set of business and product award categories, benchmarking the full spectrum of organisational performance and product management to identify the industry leaders for each award category and industry classification. The awards raise the bar across all aspects of quality management and provide organisations with ways to review their business performance and identify their core strengths.
Being notified of the results of the Australian Business Awards not long after being announced as the only recruitment company who has made it to the top 10 of BRW's 50 Best Places to Work Awards, Managing Director of TRC Group, Simon Moss is very proud of the company's achievements to date.
"It's been an amazing year for TRC Group so far, we've been working hard the past few years to really make TRC Group a great place to work and we are humbled to be recognised amongst stellar companies who are famous for their workplace environments and highly engaged staff."
"However, in saying that, we've found that being a great place to work doesn't require providing all the expensive, exclusive perks and benefits like what many would come to expect. In TRC, what keeps our
staff engaged and stimulated is a strong drive towards the company vision and staff accountability. Everyone is driven to do their part and to do it well because everyone understands that they have an important role to play in enabling the company as a whole to reach its goals."
"At TRC, we believe that by ensuring employees understand their part and the importance of their contribution to the company and then ensuring we do our bit by giving them all the support and resources they need, we are all working together to build a company that we have all grown to love to work for."
The Australian Business Awards commenced in 2005 and is open to all private, public and non-profit sector organisations operating in Australia. This includes multi-national subsidiaries, government departments, agencies or bodies, franchisors and non-government organisations.
Congratulating Simon and TRC Group, Ms Tara Johnston, Program Director, The Australian Business Awards said: “These types of accolades don’t come easily – they are underpinned by vision and leadership, both of which require a clear dedication to research and development.
“Despite a challenging business environment locally and abroad, this year’s participants in The Australian Business Awards remain steadfast in their commitment to innovation and excellence,” Ms Johnston said.
“We’re proud to promote the models of business and product excellence in addition to highlighting contributions to the community and sustainability initiatives with these leading organisations and to publicly honour their achievements."
