Drumroll, please! We're thrilled to raise our gingerbread-shaped hats to Verifone, the undisputed champions of the 2023 TRC Gingerbread House Competition!
Their gingerbread creation had us all in awe, raising the (chocolate) bar to new heights in the realm of gingerbread wonders. It's safe to say that Verifone brought the magic of Christmas in July to life in the most delightful and delicious way.
But the sweetness doesn't stop there! As part of their well-earned victory, we were more than happy to present Verifone with a $500 cheque to donate to a charity of their choice. And what an awesome choice it was – Verifone decided to direct their prize earnings towards a cause that truly makes a difference: The Dry July Foundation.
The Dry July Foundation stands tall as one of Cancer Council’s key national partners, working hand in hand to pave the way toward a future free from the clutches of cancer. Their annual Dry July campaign rallies Australians to go alcohol-free for the entire month of July, channelling the funds raised into supporting individuals and families affected by cancer.
Verifone's decision to channel their victory towards The Dry July Foundation truly embodies the spirit of the Christmas in July season – the spirit of compassion, generosity, and making a positive impact. It's a great reminder that even a small act of kindness, like baking and decorating a gingerbread house, can ripple out into the world and touch lives in significant ways.
