Christmas in July Celebrations

Main Image

Theres nothing we love more than Christmas in July!  This year we took the team to the Tap House for a Christmas feast. Terrible Christmas jumpers were on display, dad jokes flowed freely and there were even a few family rows thrown in for good measure.  After a slap up Christmas feast the team settled in to experience some of the many beers on offer

TRC Stair Climbers climb stairs (1504 to be exact)

Main Image

A depleted but enthusiastic team from TRC braved the sunday morning chill and their own fuzzy heads to help raise money for our pals over at Giant Steps.

A few of the team dropped out of the challenge due to injury and unforeseen family visits but Chelsea and Matt made it through and collectively raised $1500 for the amazing team over at Giant Steps.

Giant Steps is a small school based in Gladesville that offers a groundbreaking education program for children and young adults with autism. TRC has been supporting the school for over 10 years.

Matt and Chelsea climbed 100 floors (1504 step…

July Lunch Club Review - Archie Brothers

Main Image

We've been to pretty much every restaurant in Sydney, we've been to more amazing venues than we can count, we've reviewed them all.  And here it is, our first ever, unanimous 5/5 review.  Want to know which venue finally hit the mark with everyone?  Quay Restaurant?  No.  Bennelong?  No.  That posh place at the top of the Shangri La?  No.

In the end it was zombie shooting, VR and sickeningly large alcoholic ice cream sundaes that won us over. Does that make us shallow and childish?  Maybe.  Will we be back there again?  Definitely.

The Recruitment Company's top performers for July had a lunch club experience with a difference - an afternoon at Archie Brothers.  Amazingly this is, in all our years of rating the top restaurants and venues in Sydney, the first 5/5 overall rating we have ever received!  Read about the experience here.

The Recruitment Company named as Employer of Choice in 2018 Australian Business Awards

Main Image

Sometimes, as a recruitment agency, its not easy to be an employer of choice. Its a high pressure industry with a notoriously high staff churn rate.  But, (and we're blowing our own trumpet a bit here), we've worked hard at it.  And this effort has been rewarded by those nice people over at Australian Business Awards who have named us as Employers of Choice in the 2018 ABA's.

We often get asked by other companies about how we create a good culture.  For us the secret sauce is to continually find the balance between intensity and fun.

Its nice to work in a company where everyone feels safe a…

The Recruitment Company and Wisr team up for Biggest Morning Tea

Main Image

The Recruitment Company and our pals over at Wisr teamed up to help raise funds for The Cancer Council.  We raised $300 and filled our bellies with some amazing treats; some home made and some not so home made.  All in all a great morning was had by everyone, lots of cakes were eaten and no doubt many gyms were visited later on.

Lunch Club Review - Aria

Main Image

So the top performers in the team headed down to Aria for the afternoon to celebrate their success in March.  Heres what they thought of the iconic Sydney restaurant and TRC Lunch Club regular venue

Overall score: 4/5

Aria was lovely and relaxing, and the Sydney weather was being kind, so the view was pretty awesome. Whilst the food and wine (especially the wine) was amazing, I reckon they let themselves down a bit when it came to service.

It had a fairly snooty vibe, one of those placed where you feel a bit stupid for not knowing how to pronounce a rare cheese from the south of…

The Recruitment Company and Wisr slug it out in the Domain

Main Image

To celebrate our new found recruitment relationship and Wisr's recent rebranding (from DirectMoney), The Recruitment Company and Wisr co-hosted an inter-company mini Olympics in the Domain.

The weather held out for what was an epic battle between co-mingled teams from both companies.  The competition, reminiscent of epic sporting battles through history (think Rumble in the Jungle, the run after the battle of Marathon, the 4 Minute Mile etc), included classic tests of character, strength and endurance such as the 'Egg and Spoon' race, the 'Balloon Between the Knees' race, the '7 Legged' rac…

Luna Park Fun & Games

Main Image

Last week the team headed off to Luna Park for an afternoon of fun and shenanigans.

We had a great time re-living our youth playing on the dodgems, riding the merry-go-round and for those that were really game, walking through a new haunted house (think real people jumping out at you!).

The afternoon was capped off by some lovely drinks and canapes in our private space at the venue, The Deck.

With a stunning view of the harbour, our glorious bridge and an amazing sun set.

It was an afternoon well enjoyed.

Well, don’t just take my word for it, here’s what some of the team had to say:
