My client is a well-established Australian SaaS technology business building a highly scalable IoT and AI-driven platform on Microsoft Azure. They are leaders in their space and continue to invest heavily in modern, cloud-native engineering practices as they scale both locally and internationally.
Due to ongoing platform growth and increasing demand, they are looking for a mid–senior level Platform / Cloud Engineer to join their engineering team. This role sits across Platform Engineering, SRE, and DevSecOps, and will play a key part in designing, building, and operating Azure-native services that support large-scale, real-time workloads.
This is a hands-on role and is not purely infrastructure focused — there is strong exposure to API platforms, event-driven integration, reliability, automation, and production operations.
My client has a flexible working model and an expectation of one day per week in their Sydney office.
Strong experience in Azure cloud / platform engineering
Hands-on experience building and operating production platforms at scale
Experience designing and supporting secure, scalable APIs and event-driven integrations
Strong background in observability, monitoring, and reliability engineering
Solid experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform essential)
Scripting capability using PowerShell and Azure CLI
Good understanding of Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure Policy, and security tooling
Exposure to governance and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.)
Experience within SaaS, IoT, or high-throughput environments would be highly advantageous
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
