About the Role

 

My client is hiring a permanent Project Manager to deliver projects across strategic technology and transformation initiatives within a fast-growing environment.

 

The role will focus on driving delivery across core platform, infrastructure, and enterprise transformation programs, while also helping uplift broader PMO capability, delivery governance, and project management maturity across the organisation.

The successful candidate will operate within complex, evolving environments and will be responsible for bringing structure, momentum, governance, accountability, and more scalable ways of working across multiple stakeholders, vendors, and delivery workstreams.

 

This is not a heavily structured enterprise PMO environment. The organisation is seeking a hands-on, practical project manager who can improve delivery standards, governance, reporting, and PM capability while remaining actively involved in delivery.

 

The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and delivery-focused, with ongoing investment across digital transformation, AI initiatives, infrastructure uplift, regulatory programs, acquisition integration work, and mobile platform initiatives.

 

The role is expected to operate as a hybrid of approximately:

~75-80% hands-on project delivery

~20-25% PMO, delivery excellence, governance, and capability uplift

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Drive end-to-end project delivery across technology and transformation initiatives
  • Manage plans, governance, risks, issues, dependencies, reporting, and stakeholder alignment
  • Coordinate across business stakeholders, technology teams, SMEs, vendors, and external partners
  • Manage vendor performance and delivery accountability
  • Bring structure and execution focus into complex delivery environments
  • Support delivery across infrastructure, platform modernisation, migration, and transformation programs
  • Improve governance, reporting consistency, and delivery visibility across projects
  • Help establish scalable project delivery frameworks, templates, and ways of working
  • Contribute to delivery excellence and PMO capability uplift initiatives across the broader project function
  • Support the development of more sustainable and repeatable delivery processes as the organisation continues to grow
  • Reduce siloed delivery approaches and improve collaboration across project teams and stakeholders

 

Preferred Background

 

  • Mid-senior level Project Management experience
  • Experience delivering complex technology, infrastructure, and transformation programs
  • Financial services experience, specifically banking, lending, non-bank lending, or asset finance
  • Strong stakeholder, vendor, governance, and reporting capability
  • Experience operating within fast-moving and evolving environments
  • Previous experience contributing to PMO setup, delivery maturity uplift, governance improvement, or project management capability initiatives
  • Experience improving frameworks, templates, reporting standards, or delivery ways of working
  • Strong communication skills with a proactive, delivery-focused mindset
  • A practical, hands-on approach combined with a continuous improvement and “builder” mentality
