My client is a large organisation based in Brisbane seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to support the management, optimisation, and ongoing enhancement of enterprise cloud infrastructure across AWS and hybrid environments.
This role will suit an experienced cloud engineer who is passionate about modern infrastructure, automation, security, and delivering highly available cloud platforms that support critical business operations.
On offer is an initial 12 month contract with future extension possible.
Key Skills & Experience required:
Demonstrated experience working across AWS and Azure cloud environments within hybrid cloud and on-premise infrastructure environments.
Strong hands-on experience managing AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, VPC, Route 53, Direct Connect, VPN, and Service Control Policies (SCPs).
Proven experience managing AWS security controls including IAM, encryption, key management, security groups, and cloud governance frameworks.
Experience monitoring and maintaining cloud environments using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Config, and related operational tooling.
Strong understanding of infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK or similar).
Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and supporting enterprise-scale cloud deployments
Knowledge of risk management, security patching, infrastructure lifecycle management, and cloud optimisation for performance, cost, and security
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
Must hold an active Baseline Security Clearance prior to commencement of the contract
